Considering its significance, Primorsko Festival is, in fact,
one of the most colorful events in Bulgarian cultural life.
The increased interest
to the festival can be explained by two reasons.
Firstly, Primorsko has always been and remains
the best youth Black Sea resort, and secondly,
it was the atmosphere of the festival.
Glamorous, unique and
affectionate, it was created not only by the
organisers, but also by the numerous spectators,
applauding the evening performances, and, last,
but not least, by the participants themselves
during the Days of the Participating Countries.
Crowded discotheques, joint games, sporting
events and excursions contributed greatly to
the festive air of the International Forum.
Since the beginning the President
of the Primorsko Festival has been the specialist of Bulgarian
folklore and choreography, the creator and choreagrapher
of numerous dances and compositions Mr. Ivan Todorov.
Among the guests of honor present
at the festival were: the Ambassador of Croatia in Bulgaria
Drajen Colich, the consul general of Poland in Varna Vatzlav
Novickii and the consul general of the Russian Federation
in Varna Anatolii Shtelkunov.
Traditionally, master classes in
Bulgarian folklore dances and songs were organized within
the frames of the Festival. Bulgarian public highly appraised
the performance of the foreign participants of the classes
unceasing applauses.
The festival is not
only bright parades, evening concerts or joint
events, but also the sea, the beach, the warm
south sun…
After the concerts the children
engaged themselves in joyful games, competitions, discotheques,
as well as acquiainted themselves with the culture and folklore
of each participating country and, of course, went on excursions
to numerous historical places, located on the Bulgarian
Black Sea Coast.
